GUIDELINES
OF THE
DENTON COUNTY
ENVIRONMENTAL TASK FORCE
The rules of procedure set forth herein are adopted
for the purpose of providing an organizational framework and guidelines
for governing the Task Force in the performance of its duties.
PURPOSE
1.01
The purpose of the Environmental Task Force is to assist the Denton County Commissioners Court in
educational awareness of meeting environmental regulations, and issues of environmental impact to
the residents of Denton County.
RESPONSIBILITIES
2.01
The Task Force shall have such responsibilities as assigned by
the Commissioners Court and will include:
A)
Promote awareness of environmental issues within Denton County;
B)
Review recommendations forwarded to the Task Force by Commissioners Court
and forward recommendations to Commissioners Court for review;
C)
Explore new ways to promote and maintain better environmental living conditions
for the residents of Denton County;
D)
Perform other advisory duties as the court may direct.
AUTHORITY
3.01
Task Force members serve at the pleasure of the Commissioners
Court member making the appointment and may be removed without cause.
3.02
All Task Force recommendations are subject to Commissioners Court
approval and the availability of funds.
