In an effort to increase efficiency
and productivity in Road & Bridge Commissioner Cynthia White and
Commissioner Andy Eads initiated the adoption of the Ex Officio Road
System which allows them direct authority and supervision of the roads
within their respective precincts. The Denton County Commissioner’s
Court adopted the Ex Officio Road system of road administration on May
25, 2003, in compliance with Texas Transportation Code Chapter 252,
Subchapter A.
There are 640 miles of County maintained roads in Denton
County. Approximately 398 of those roads are within Comm. White’s
precinct (1). 236 miles are in Comm. Eads’s precinct (4). Comm.
Marchant’s precinct (2) 3.5 miles and Comm. Mitchell’s precinct (3) has .5
miles. Since the implementation of this Ex Officio system Commissioner
White and Road and Bridge East have successfully reached the goal of
increased efficiency and productivity. Road and Bridge East continually
strives to provide the highest level of customer service possible. This
