Citizens should complete a witness form located on the side table. Pursuant to State Open Meetings Law, the Commissioners Court is restricted in discussing or taking action on items not posted on the agenda. Action on your statement can be taken only at a future meeting.

In order to expedite the flow of business and to provide all citizens the opportunity to speak, the Commissioners Court may impose a three-minute limitation on persons addressing the Court. Please address all comments to the Presiding Officer.

3. RESOLUTIONS/AWARDS/REPORTS/PRESENTATIONS

A) Approval to declare November 14, 2007 as GIS Day at Denton County. Authorize participation in the county wide GIS Day Event, being held at the University of North Texas, and any appropriate action.

4. PUBLIC HEARINGS

9:05 A.M. A) Approval of the Replat of Lot 13, Block 36A, Heritage Lantana, Phase Two-R3, Precinct 4, and any appropriate action. Planning.

9:10 A.M. B) Approval of setting prima facie speed limits at a maximum speed of 20 miles per hour between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on weekdays during the Denton I.S.D. school year in school zones located on Navo Road within 500 feet of Navo Middle School and within 500 feet of Paloma Creek Elementary in unincorporated area of Denton County Commissioner Precinct #1, and any appropriate action. A) Approval of Bill Report.

* A) Approval of specifications and authority to advertise for Paper Towels, Bid # 10-07-1864, and any appropriate action.

7. BUDGET

* A) Approval of Intra-Departmental Transfers, and any appropriate action.

* B) Approval of Budget Amendment Request #100260 for Court Support-Mediation Services for Judiciary and Court Support in the amount of $9,000, and any appropriate action.

8. HUMAN RESOURCES

* A) Approval of Order Making Appointments. (Appointments have been posted and advertised. Interviews were conducted as set forth in the Denton County policies adopted by the Commissioners Court, except as otherwise stated in the appointment orders. These appointments are within the budgetary constraints.)

B) Approval of a new interlocal agreement between Denton County and Texas Association of Counties Risk Management Pool (TAC RMP) and appointment of the Risk Manager as the pool coordinator, and any appropriate action.

C) Approval of sponsored dependent premiums for 2008, and any appropriate action.

D) Approval of changing the job title and job description for slot #002-S4 from Deputy Constable pay Grade 22, to Sergeant pay grade 22, and appropriate action.

D) Approval of change order #1 from Quality Exacavation Ltd in the amount of $3,500 for the Canyon Road Culvert Replacement Project, and any appropriate action. Commissioner Precinct #1.

14. LEGAL

A) Approval of the Criminal District Attorney’s Family Violence Expansion Grant (VAWA FVEG) to the Criminal Justice Division of the Governor’s Office for continuation of funding from the Violence Against Women Act, and any appropriate action.

B) Approval of the Criminal District Attorney’s Prosecution Enhancement Grant (VAWA FVP-Enhancement) to the Criminal Justice Division of the Governor’s Office for continuation of funding from the Violence Against Women Act, and any appropriate action.

C) Approval of the Multi Service Agreement and Order Pricing Page between AT&T and Denton County for internet services with Gigaman interface. This service is to provide public access to Denton County websites and services, and any appropriate action.

D) Approval of the Transportation Consultant Professional Service Contract between Denton County, Texas and Innovative Transportation Solutions, Inc. (ITS) for the 2007-2008 Fiscal Year, and appropriate action.
