8. HUMAN RESOURCES

* A) Approval of Order Making Appointments. (Appointments have been posted and advertised. Interviews were conducted as set forth in the Denton County policies adopted by the Commissioners Court, except as otherwise stated in the appointment orders. These appointments are within the budgetary constraints.)

* B) Approve a new job description for the Public Health Disaster Communication Manager in the Bioterrorism Grant-Health Department, and any appropriate action. (Briefing 5-22-07)

A) Approval for the Health Department to submit a grant application for renewed funding for the SDI/PHC grant, and any appropriate action.

* A) Approve July 3, 2007, 9:05 a.m. as the date and time to conduct a Public Hearing to consider and approve the Replat of High Mesa Estates, Precinct 4, and any appropriate action. Planning

B) Approval of Change Order #2 from Quality Excavation Ltd in the amount of $17,170.00 for the Choctaw Trail Drainage Improvements Project located in Commissioner Precinct #1, to include the following: (1) Additional Mobilization; (2) Ditch Excavation; (3) Removal & Replacement of Concrete Drives; (4) Rock Rip Rap; and (5) Hydromulch, and any appropriate action. * D) Approval of the Denton County Juvenile Probation Department to share the cost of a regional Prison Rape Elimination Coordinator position when matching funds will be required based on a regional referral formula and discussion of the MOU regarding the partnership between Juvenile Probation Departments in the North Central Texas Council of Governments, and any appropriate action. A) Any appropriate action on Executive Session matters - Legal Department.

B) Approval of Supplement Agreement No. 3 to the Contract between Denton County, Texas, and Halff Associates Engineering to cover costs in the amount of $70,834.00 for additional engineering services needed on the Lake Lewisville Corridor Project (F.M. 2934), located in Commissioner Precinct #1, and any appropriate action. C) Approval to submit a Grant Application to Texas Parks & Wildlife Department under “Recreational Trails” for construction of a horse trailer parking lot east of Old Alton Road and south of the new Old Alton Bridge, to be used by citizens of Denton County who wish to ride horses through the trails along Old Alton Road located in Commissioner Precinct #4, and any appropriate action. D) Approval of scheduling a Public Hearing for June 26, 2007, at 9:10 a.m., to discus and take formal action on abandoning a portion of Boyd Road (near the Lebanon Road realignment) just west of F.M. 423, located in Commissioner Precinct #1, and any appropriate action.

E) Approval to renew the Agreement for Alternative Dispute Resolution Services between Denton County, Texas and Denton County Alternative Dispute Resolution Program (DCAP), and any appropriate action,

F) Approval of the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement for property tax collection between Denton County, Texas, and Denton County Fresh Water Supply District No. 4-A, and any appropriate action.

G) Approval of the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement for property tax collection between Denton County, Texas, and the Town of Lake Dallas, and any appropriate action.

H) Approval of the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement for property tax collection between Denton County, Texas, and (1) Sanger Independent School District, (2) Pilot Point Independent School District, (3) Krum Independent School District, and (4) Lewisville Independent School District , and any appropriate action.
