2. PURCHASING

A) Discussion of award for Janitorial Paper Products, bid # 06-06-1773, to Swansea Jack for Item #1; Empire Paper Company for Items #2, 3, 4, 8, 9 & 10; Central Poly Corp. for Item #5; and Unipak for Items #6 & 7.

B) Discussion of renewal for Temporary Personnel Services, RFP #10-04-1638, to Express Personnel Services as the primary agency, and ProFlex Personnel LLC as the secondary agency.

C) Discussion of award of bid for Emulsified Asphalt, Bid #08-06-1793, SemMaterials.

3. BUDGET

A) Discussion of Budget Amendment Request #100080 to reallocate funds for Principal/Interest payments for the 2006 Permanent Improvement Refunding Bonds including the creation of new line items for FY 2006-2007 for the Debt Service Fund in the amount of $856,355.

B) Discussion of Budget Amendment Request # 100090 for Salary, Assistant/Benefits and various other line items for Public Health Preparedness Grant in the amount of $671,425.

C) Discussion of Budget Amendment Request #100110 for National Association of Counties including the transfer of funds from Non-Departmental Unappropriated Contingency for Appropriations in the amount of $1,219.

4. HUMAN RESOURCES

A) Discuss revisions to Personnel Policy #3.9B-Sick Leave Pool.

5. HEALTH

A) Discussion of an amendment to the Cities Readiness Initiative Grant with the Texas DSHS to extend end term from 12/31/2006 to 8/31/2007 and budget funds for additional term.

6. PUBLIC WORKS

A) Discussion regarding project development, construction progress and change orders to Denton County Building Projects.

B) Discussion regarding ongoing, planned, and proposed county and state transportation projects: Denton County’s Better Safer Roads Program, and the modification of the Denton County Master Thoroughfare Plan, and updates related to the Denton County Transportation Authority.

A) Discuss and authorize Sheriff Benny Parkey to execute the Agreement between the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) and the Denton County Sheriff’s Office for reimbursement of overtime.

A) Discussion of Denton County Boards and Committees.

C) Discussion of having the committee that reviews the constable fees include reviewing/updating the policy for reserve deputies and make a recommendation to the Commissioners Court. The makeup of the committee is: Frank Phillips (County Judge’s office), Donna Stewart (Budget Director), Hugh Coleman (District Atty’s office), Jim Dotson (Constable Precinct 1), Jerry Raburn (Constable Precinct 3), Mike Ballard (Sheriff’s office), and Bobbie J. D) Discussion of the “Commercial Customer Agreement” with EchoStar Satellite L.L.C. for Dish Network Satellite service. Emergency Services

A) Discussion of the 2006-2007 Service Agreement between Denton County and the Denton County Soil
and Water Conservation District.

B) Discussion of the 2006-2007 Social Service Agreements between Denton County and (a) Day Stay for Adults, Inc.; (b) Denton City-County Day School; (c) Denton Family Resource Center; (d) Metrocrest Social Services, and (e) SPAN, Inc.

C) Discussion of the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement for Ambulance Services between Denton County, Texas and the City of Carrollton.

D) Discussion of the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement for Library Services between Denton County and the Pilot Point Community Library.

E) Discussion of Inter-local Cooperation Agreement for Tax Collection between Denton County, Texas and the Pilot Point Independent School District.

F) Discussion of the refund of the remaining portion of the Escrow Agreement between Paloma Creek Development and Denton County, Texas, in the amount of $66,049.20, plus accrued interest, for the Paloma Creek Subdivision, Section 2 (Navo Road), located in Commissioner Precinct #1.

G) Discussion of the Contract Agreement between Reynolds Asphalt & Construction Company and Denton County for the Smiley Road Improvement Project, Bid #07-06-1779, in the amount of $ 172,644.12, with funding to come from Precinct 1, TRIP-04 Discretionary Fund. The project is located in Commissioner Precinct #1.
