A) Security, Section 551.076—County Buildings--Discussion of the suspension of the license to do business of the present building security contractor, the temporary provision of security services for County Buildings, County personnel and the general public using County Buildings, and any other necessary action as a result to the suspension of such license.
NOTE: Pursuant to Section 551.045 of the Texas Government Code – The posting of this emergency agenda item is necessary for the Denton County Commissioners Court to consider and discuss the suspension of the license to do business of the present building security contractor which leaves the County without adequate forces to provide for security for its buildings, personnel, and the general public thereby creating an imminent threat to public health and safety. The suspension of the license of the present building security contractor creates the need for the County to take immediate action regarding this reasonably unforeseeable event in order to maintain the security of County buildings, personnel and the general public using County buildings.
