1. PURCHASING

A) Discussion of exemption from bidding for a Sole Source purchase for Election Ballots from Hart Intercivic, according to the provisions of Section 262.024(a)(7)(A) of the Local Government Code.

B) Discussion of the use of FY05 Certificates of Obligation funds and discussion of specifications and authority to advertise for Boiler Replacement-Denton County Law Enforcement Center, Bid #12-05-1739.

C) Discussion of specifications and authority to advertise for Ballot Boxes, Bid #01-06-1742.

D) Discussion of amending policy Purchasing Policy 7.1, County-Owned Supplies and Equipment.

2. BUDGET

A) Discussion of Budget Amendment Request #100490 for Computers for Department of Information Services in the amount of $2,961.

B) Discussion of Budget Amendment Request #100510 to increase revenues and allocate expenditures for Voting Equipment for HAVA (Help America Vote Act) Grant in the amount of $543,455.

C) Discussion of Budget Amendment Request #100520 for Copiers for Print/Mail Department in the amount of $1,643.

3. HUMAN RESOURCES

A) Discussion of reclassification of slot #142-SO Investigator/CID to Sergeant in the Sheriff’s Office.

4. PUBLIC WORKS

A) Discussion regarding ongoing, planned, and proposed county and state transportation projects: Denton County’s Better Safer Roads Program, and the modification of the Denton County Master Thoroughfare Plan, and updates related to the Denton County Transportation Authority.

5. OTHER DEPARTMENTS

A) Discussion of Denton County Boards and Committees.

B) Discussion regarding project development, construction progress and change orders to Denton County Building Projects.-Faculties

C) Discussion of the payment of funds to TxDot in the amount of $32,639.54 from the Better Safer Roads Program-US 377 North Project, Auditor No. 7457 in Precinct 1.-Commissioner Precinct 1

D) Discussion of renovation of the Juvenile Detention Center Intake area. Funding would come from the grant proceeds ($11,250) plus $27,738 from the 2004 Tax Note Fund excess funds in contingency line item 74-6810-90-10.-Juvenile Detention

E) Discussion of the request of The Center to be included on the juror pay donation list.-District Clerk

F) Discussion of the building usage request from Denton County Friends of the Family for use of the CHOS Lawn on Thursday, April 6, 2006, from 4:00 pm to 8:30pm.-Aide to the Court

G) Discussion of the building usage request from Denton Main Street Association for use of the CHOS and Lawn on Saturday, June 3, 2006, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, for the purpose of Dog Days of Summer.-Aide to the Court

H) Discussion of the building usage request from Denton Main Street Association for use of the CHOS and Lawn on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006, from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm , for the purpose of Arts, Antiques, Autos Extravaganza.-Aide to the Court

I) Discussion of the building usage request from Denton Main Street Association for use of the CHOS and Lawn every Thursday night in May and June for the Twilight Tunes from 5:00-8:00 pm.-Aide to the Court

J) Discussion of new 2004 State Homeland Security Grant Program Subrecipient Award from Governors Division of Emergency Management in the amount of $450,800.00.-Emergency Services

6. LEGAL

A) Discussion of the Sheriff’s Office to submit an Application for a STEP Wave Grant.

B) Discussion of JURY + Jury Management System Software Maintenance Agreement between Denton County, Texas and Jury Systems Incorporated.

C) Discussion of 1) the Contract for Purchase of Right-of-Way between Denton County and Gary Johnson for the purchase of property for the FM 1171, Project 2) and grant authorization to proceed with the closing and approval for the County Judge to sign all necessary closing documents to purchase the Right-of-Way from Gary Johnson and 3) direction to the County Auditor to issue a warrant in the amount of funding to come from the FM 1171 Project, Auditor #63-7360-90-10.

D) Discussion of 1) the Real Estate Contract between Denton County and John Plagman and wife Cynthia Plagman for the purchase of a drainage easement for the Lake Lewisville Corridor, Project 2) authorization to proceed with the closing and grant of approval for the County Judge to sign all necessary closing documents to purchase the property from John Plagman and wife Cynthia Plagman and 3) direction to the County Auditor to issue a warrant in the amount of the purchase price plus any fees for the purchase of the property from John Plagman and wife Cynthia Plagman with funding to come from the Lake Lewisville Toll Bridge Corridor, Auditor #7401.

E) Discussion of 1) the Real Estate Contract between Denton County and Antonio Salinas and wife Josephine Salinas for the purchase of property for the Lake Lewisville Corridor Project, 2) authorization to proceed with the closing and approval for the County Judge to sign all necessary closing documents to purchase the property from Antonio Salinas and wife Josephine Salinas and 3) direction to the County Auditor to issue a warrant in the amount of the purchase price plus any fees for the purchase of the property from Antonio Salinas and wife Josephine Salinas with funding to come from the Lake Lewisville Toll Bridge Corridor, Auditor #7401.

F) Discussion of the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between Denton County, Texas, and the Town of Lakewood Village for implementation of Texas Local Government Code, Section 242.001, relative to the Town’s ETJ, located in Precinct 1.

H) Discussion of the Service Agreement between Denton County and MHMR.

I) Discussion of the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement for Fire Protection Services between Denton County, Texas, and the City of Denton.

J) Discussion of the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement for Ambulance Services between Denton County, Texas, and the City of Denton.
