Be it remembered, Commissioners Court of Denton County, Texas was called to order on the 1st day of November, 2005, at 9:00 a.m. in Commissioners Courtroom, 2nd Floor, Courthouse on the Square, Denton, Texas by Denton County Judge Mary Horn. Commissioners Cynthia White, Sandy Jacobs, Bobbie Mitchell, and Jim Carter were present, along with County Clerk Cynthia Mitchell’s representative, Deputy Clerk, Erin McCorkle.
Court opened with an Invocation by Jim Heath, followed by the Pledges of Allegiance to the American and Texas Flags led by Cathy Allcorn, Planning Manager.
Mr. Heath: Bow your heads, please. Our Heavenly Father, please be with us today as we go through this day in our life. Be with this Court as they handle the County's business. May their deliberations be in Your favor. Please be with the people of our government as they handle our business. May their actions be in Your favor. And by all means, please be with all of our service people throughout the world as they stand in harm's way. In Thy name we pray. Amen.
