1. PURCHASING

A) Discussion of award of bid for Detention Supplies, Bid #06-05-1703, to Robinson Textiles for items 1 and 2; Leslee Scott for items 3, 4, and 7; Bob Barker for items 5,6 and 9; and rejection of all bids for item #8.

B) Discussion of award of bid for Janitorial Paper Products, Bid #08-05-1719, Item 1, 2, 3, 4, and 10 to Pollock Paper, Item 5, 6 & 7 to Central Poly, Item 8 to Pyramid School Products, Item 9 to Unisource.

C) Discussion of award of bid for Meadow Vista Reconstruction Project, Bid #09-05-1725, to Reynolds Asphalt for $227,950 from the Precinct 1, TRIP-04 Discretionary Fund.

2. BUDGET

A) Discussion of Budget Amendment Request #100080 for Office Machines and Office Supplies including the transfer of funds from District Clerk Records Management Fund Unappropriated Contingency for District Clerk Records Management Fund in the amount of $2,705.

B) Discussion of Budget Amendment Request #100090 to increase revenues and allocate expenditures for Overtime-Tobacco Compliance Grant/Benefits for Sheriff’s Department in the amount of $12,000.

C) Discussion of Budget Amendment Request #100100 for Unemployment Compensation including the transfer of funds from Non-Departmental Unappropriated Regular Contingency for Non-Departmental in the amount of $24,421.

D) Discussion of Budget Amendment Request #100120 for Miscellaneous County Building Maintenance including the transfer of funds from Non-Departmental Unappropriated Regular Contingency for Facilities Management in the amount of $9,098.

3. HUMAN RESOURCES

A) Discussion of changes to the job description for the Education and Tourism Director in the Courthouse-on-the-Square Museum.

4. PUBLIC WORKS

A) Discussion regarding ongoing, planned, and proposed county and state transportation projects: Denton County’s Better Safer Roads Program, and the modification of the Denton County Master Thoroughfare Plan, and updates related to the Denton County Transportation Authority.

5. OTHER DEPARTMENTS

A) Discussion of Denton County Boards and Committees.

B) Discussion regarding project development, construction progress and change orders to Denton County Building Projects.-Facilities

C) Discussion of potential change order #9 for the Storage Facility at Teasley Lane for a total addition of $18,377.00.-Facilities

D) Discussion to utilize excess FY2003 Tax Note funds to purchase Protection One Intrusion System, Protection One Owned for the facility at 1505 E. McKinney.-Facilities

E) Discussion of Building Usage Request from William Street for use of the 2nd floor Conference Room at the CHOS every other Monday beginning Oct. 31, 2005 thru April 2006 for the purpose of Girl Scout meeting, Troop 1330, from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm.-Aide to the Court

6. LEGAL

A) Discussion of Agreement Exercising Final Option to Renew the Contract between Denton County, Texas and Member’s Building Maintenance, Ltd.

B) Discussion of the Contract for Services-Local Government between Denton County, Texas and the State and Local Records Management Division of the Texas State Library and Archives Commission.

C) Discussion of the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between Denton County, Texas, and the City of Justin for implementation of Texas Local Government Code Section 242.001, relative to the City’s ETJ, located in Precinct 4.

D) Discussion of a donation in the amount of $3,103.11 from the Sheriff’s Office Reserves Unit to Denton County to assist with purchase of a vehicle for that unit.
