8. HUMAN RESOURCES

* A) Approval of Order Making Appointments. (Appointments have been posted and advertised. Interviews were conducted as set forth in the Denton County policies adopted by the Commissioners Court, except as otherwise stated in the appointment orders. These appointments are within the budgetary constraints.)

B) Approve insurance changes for Plan Year 2006 including a) addition of two new retiree medical plans, b) vendor rates, and c) medical and dental premiums, and any appropriate action. (Formal 9-06-05)

C) Approve upgrading slot #007-EM in the Emergency Management Department from a part-time to a full-time position on a temporary basis, and any appropriate action.

9. HEALTH

* A) Approval of a contract with the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) for Immunizations, and any appropriate action. (Briefing 9-06-05)

10. PUBLIC WORKS

* A) Approve the Final Plat of Three Acres Estates, Precinct #1, and any appropriate action.

B) Approve Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at 9:05 a.m. as date and time to conduct a PUBLIC HEARING to consider and approve a REPLAT of Georgia Village at Savannah, Precinct #1, and any appropriate action.

A) Approve the agreement authorizing the Denton County Sheriff’s Office as a member of the Greater Dallas-Fort Worth Regional Law Enforcement Mutual Aid Task Force Agreement, and any appropriate action.

B) Approval of acceptance of the 2005 Byrne Justice Assistance (JAG) Award Program Grant, and any appropriate action.

13. OTHER DEPARTMENTS

* A) Approval of building usage request from the Denton County Friends of the Family on Thursday, October 27, 2005, from 4:00 pm to 8:30 pm at the Courthouse-on-the-Square for the purpose of a candlelight vigil, and any appropriate action. (Briefing 9-06-05)

B) Approve appointment of Mr. Phillip Beims to the Denton County Veterans Advisory Board, and any appropriate action. Commissioner, Precinct #2
