ATTEST:

Cynthia Mitchell, County Clerk
and Ex-Officio Clerk of the
Commissioners Court of
Denton County, Texas

By:

Be it remembered, Commissioners Court of Denton County, Texas was called to order on the 28th day of June, 2005, at 6:30 p.m. in Commissioners Courtroom, 2nd Floor, Courthouse on the Square, Denton, Texas by Denton County Judge Mary Horn. Commissioners Cynthia White and Bobbie Mitchell were present, along with County Clerk Cynthia Mitchell’s representative, Senior Administrator to Commissioners Court, Erin McCorkle.

Court opened with an Invocation by Robert Scott, Mayor Pro Tem, Corinth, followed by the Pledges of Allegiance to the American and Texas Flags led by Robert Scott, Mayor Pro Tem, City of Corinth.

Mr. Scott: Please bow your heads. Father God, we come to You one more time saying thank You for the opportunity to be able to serve Your people. Lord, we thank You and we ask You as always for wisdom. We ask You for fairness, Father. We ask You for just -- justice, Father. We ask You that You will continue to give us the right minds in order to make the right decisions for Your people.

Lord, we thank You also for our troops who are still overseas fighting for our freedom, Father. And don't let them begin to pass to the middle and to the back page of the papers, but always keep them on the forefront of our minds.

We pray for the leadership of Denton today, Father, that they will be able to do what is just and what is right and to continue to serve their constituents as they have been elected to do. Now, Lord, thank You as we go forward. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
