Be it remembered, Commissioners Court of Denton County, Texas was called to order on the 1st day of January, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. in Commissioners Courtroom, 2nd Floor, Courthouse on the Square, Denton, Texas by Denton County Judge Mary Horn. Commissioners Cynthia White, Sandy Jacobs, Bobbie J. Mitchell, and Jim Carter were present, along with County Clerk Cynthia Mitchell’s representative, Senior Administrator to Commissioners Court, Erin McCorkle.
Court opened with an Invocation by Steve Mossman, Tax Assessor/Collector, followed by the Pledges of Allegiance to the American and Texas Flags led by Jerry Raburn, Constable, Precinct 3.

8. A) Approval of Order Making Appointments. (Appointments have been posted and advertised. Interviews were conducted as set forth in the Denton County policies adopted by the Commissioners Court, except as otherwise stated in the appointment orders. These appointments are within the budgetary constraints.) Warren Lee Howell, Chief Deputy Sheriff/Sheriff; Tom Reedy, Communications Director/Sheriff; Michael Hendrix, Burglary Investigator/Analyst/Sheriff; Lindsey Jones, Lieutenant-Training/Sheriff; Kathy Grassman, Investigator-CID/Sheriff; Roy Davenport, Assistant Chief Deputy/County Jail; Michael Jacobs, Detention Officer I/County Jail; Matthew Guest, Detention Officer I/County Jail; Michael Stockard, Lieutenant-Internal Affairs/County Jail; Gillis Hammett, Lieutenant-Mental Health/Sheriff’s Mental Health Unit; Colette Ward, Office Support Specialist I/County Operations; John Hudson, Emergency Management Spec PT/Emergency Management; Brendan Robbins, Misdemeanor Investigator/Criminal District Attorney.
Move to approve Consent Agenda by Comm. Carter, seconded by Comm. Mitchell.

14. A) Approval and acceptance, of the Official Bonds and Oaths of the Elected Officials who were elected on November 2, 2004, in accordance with Texas Local Government Code, Section 82.001, and Section 82.002, and any appropriate action.
