Be it remembered, Commissioners Court of Denton County, Texas was called to order on the 14th day of September, 2004, at 9:00 a.m. in Commissioners Courtroom, 2nd Floor, Courthouse on the Square, Denton, Texas by Denton County Judge Mary Horn. Commissioners Jim Carter, Bobbie J. Mitchell and Cynthia White were present, along with County Clerk Cynthia Mitchell’s representative, Senior Administrator to Commissioners Court, Kathleen Bransford.
Court opened with an Invocation by Dan Japhet, Attorney/Auditor for the Denton County Probate Court, followed by the Pledges of Allegiance to the American and Texas Flags led by Beth Fleming, Director of Purchasing.
Mr. Japhet: Father, we offer ourselves to Thee, to go with us and do with us what you will. Take away our difficulties and differences so that victory over them may be witness to those that we would help with Your power and Your love and Your way of life. May we do Thy will always. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
ITEM 1 PUBLIC INPUT
Willie Hudspeth requested that County property abutting his be mowed and that the court approve getting water to the Confederate Soldier at the Courthouse on the Square.
Tedd McWhinney supported Mr. Hudspeth’s goal of getting water to the statute’s fountain.
