* C) Approval of Budget Amendment Request #101610 for Juvenile Meals including the transfer of funds from Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Program Unappropriated Contingency for Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Program in the amount of $3,100, and any appropriate action. * D) Approval of Budget Amendment Request #101630 for Computers for County-Wide Technology in the amount of $5,362, and any appropriate action. (Briefing 7-20-04)

E) Accept the submission of the appraisal roll for Denton County for tax year 2004 from the Tax Assessor-Collector and any appropriate action.

F) Presentation of the effective and rollback tax rates for Denton County for tax year 2004, and any appropriate action.

* G) Approval of Budget Amendment Request #101650 for Medical Supplies for Public Health-Clinical in the amount of $18,400 and any appropriate action.

* A) Approval of Order Making Appointments. (Appointments have been posted and advertised. Interviews were conducted as set forth in the Denton County policies adopted by the Commissioners Court, except as otherwise stated in the appointment orders. These appointments are within the budgetary constraints.)

B) Approve revisions to the Director of Engineering job description and any appropriate action.

11. COUNTY CLERK

* A) Approve the County Clerk’s minutes from Commissioners Court Formal Agenda for July 13, 2004, and any appropriate action.

A) Approval of the following committee membership related to the Public Works/Planning Director: Development Support Committee, Centralized Road & Bridge Facility, Environmental Assessment, Facilities Master Plan Steering Committee, Personnel/Policy Committee, Transportation Committee, and any appropriate action. 14. LEGAL

* B) Approval of the Denton Central Appraisal District Resolution authorizing the purchase of real property and improvements located at 3901 Morse Street, Denton, Texas, and any appropriate action. (Briefing 7-20-04)

C) Approval of retaining Grace Weatherly to represent Denton County in the James Patton EEOC claim at the rate of $200.00 per hour and any ensuing litigation, and any appropriate action.

The Commissioners Court reserves the right to exercise its discretion and may convene in executive session as authorized by the Texas Government Code §§551.071, et seq. on any of the agenda items.

For purposes permitted by Texas Government Code, Section 551.071 - Contemplated or Pending Litigation or Settlement Offer, Section 551.072 - Real Property, Section 551.074 - Personnel Matters, and Section 551.076 - Security.
