4. PUBLIC WORKS
A) Discussion regarding ongoing, planned, and proposed county and state transportation projects: Denton County’s Better Safer Roads Program, and the modification of the Denton County Master Thoroughfare Plan, and updates related to the Denton County Transportation Authority.
B) Discussion by Commissioners Court to accept all roads within Battle Creek Estates (as per the final plat filed in the County Clerk’s Office January 10, 2001). The roads to be maintained are as follows: Austin Circle, 7,256 linear feet.-Public Works/Engineering.
5. SHERIFF
A) Discussion of Sheriff Lucas’s request to accept continuing grant funding in the amount of $418,738.00 from the Office of the Governor-Criminal Justice Division Law Enforcement Programs for North Central Texas Narcotics Task Force grant year 2004-2005 by issuing a court order and resolution stating same.
6. OTHER DEPARTMENTS
A) Discussion of Denton County Boards and Committees.
B) Discussion regarding project development, construction progress and change orders to Denton County Building Projects.
C) Discussion of name for the government center to be constructed in the Town of Flower Mound, said government center to be formally named “Pct. 4 Government Center”, rename the Road & Bridge Facility located in Argyle, Texas as the “West Denton County Road & Bridge Facility”.
D) Discussion of usage of the parking lots at Mulberry and Carroll as a staging area for a Fourth of July Parade by the City of Denton Police Department on July 3, 2004, Saturday, at 8:00 am.
E) Discussion of amendments to the lease between Denton County and the Denton County Firefighters Memorial Park.-Fire Marshal/Emergency
F) Discussion of the donation of several wooden signs for the Old Alton Bridge Park created by Jarrett Lemke as part of his Eagle Scout Project.-Commissioner Pct. 1

7. LEGAL
A) Discussion of the Group Agreement between Denton County, as a member of the Public Employee Benefits Cooperative of North Texas (PEBC) and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, a division of Health Care Service Corporation (Formerly Southwest Texas HMO, Inc. d/b/a HMO BLUE TEXAS).
B) Discussion of Change Order #1 to the Contract between Denton County, Texas, and Sutton & Associates for Shady Shore Road Project for additional funding in the amount of $52,874.25, for a total contract amount of $906,787.02.
C) Discussion of the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement for Ambulance Services between Denton County, Texas and the City of Dallas.
D) Discussion of a) the Project for roadway pavement improvements to Long Road from the district property line to Stuart Road adjacent to and severing the new Denton Athletic Facility/Advanced Career and Technology Center and b) the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between Denton County, Texas and the City of Denton for roadway pavement improvements to Long Road.
