Be it remembered, Commissioners Court of Denton County, Texas was called to order on the 13th day of April, 2004, at 9:00 a.m. in the Denton County Pre-Trial Facility, 1406 Troy H. LaGrone Drive, Denton, Texas by County Judge Mary Horn. Commissioners Sandy Jacobs, Jim Carter, Bobbie J. Mitchell, and Cynthia White were present along with County Clerk Cynthia Mitchell’s representative, Senior Administrator to Commissioners Court, Kathleen Bransford.
Court opened with an Invocation by Lockadee Newland, Chief Administrator for Commissioner Cynthia White, Precinct One, followed by the Pledges to the American and Texas Flag led by Cheryl Hammons, Staff Assistant to the County Judge .
Ms. Newland: Heavenly Father, we were made by You for Your purpose. Help us to seek Your will in all we do and say today. Thank You for this day and for the freedom we have. We pray for our President and all of our men and women fighting overseas for that very freedom. Please help us to seek Your will in all we do and say today. We pray in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
