1. PURCHASING

A) Discussion of renewal of bid for Hot Mix Asphaltic Concrete, Bid #03-02-1472, to Jagoe Public.

B) Discussion of renewal of contract for Janitorial Service, Bid #06-02-1494, Group 1 and 2 to Members Building Maintenance.

C) Discussion of specifications and authority to advertise for Emulsified Asphalt, Bid #06-03-1567.

D) Discussion of renewal of contract for Detention Supplies, Bid #07-02-1499 to , ATD-American Company for items #6, 8, and 11, Leslee Scott, Inc. for items #5 and 10, ICS for item #3, and Moore Medical Supply for item #4.

2. BUDGET

A) Discussion of Budget Amendment Request #101470 for Computers for County-Wide Technology in the amount of $2,530.

B) Discussion of Budget Amendment Request #101510 for Computers including the transfer of funds from Non-Departmental Unappropriated Contingency-Regular Contingency for 16th District Court in the amount of $1,470.

C) Discussion of Budget Amendment Request #101480 for Comprehensive General Liability including the transfer of funds from Non-Departmental Unappropriated Contingency-Regular Contingency for Non-Departmental in the amount of $4,075.

3. HEALTH

A) Discussion of TDH grant revision for Public Health Improvement Innovation grant.

4. PUBLIC WORKS

A) Discussion regarding project development, construction progress and change orders to Denton County Building Projects.

B) Discussion regarding ongoing, planned, and proposed county and state transportation projects: Denton County's Better Safer Roads Program, and the modification of the Denton County Master Thoroughfare Plan, and updates related to the Denton County Transportation Authority.

5. SHERIFF

A) Discussion by the Denton County Commissioners Court to allow the Denton County Sheriff use of one pod in the West Wing of the Pre Trial Center for training purposes.

A) Discussion of Denton County Boards and Committees.

B) Discussion of 78th Legislative Session-County Judge

C) Discussion regarding the Confederate Monument water fountains-County Judge

D) Discussion of oil and gas exploration in Denton County, Texas-Commissioner Precinct #4.

E) Discussion of publication costs to the Dallas Morning News in the amount of $8,425.00, Fort Worth Star Telegram in the amount of $1,848.00, and the Denton Record Chronicle in the amount of $384.00, for total of $10,657.00. These fees are for the Public Hearing to be held on July 31, 2003-Commissioner Precinct #3.

7. LEGAL

A) Discussion of Supplemental Agreement #3 to the contract between Denton County, Texas, and Halff Associates, Inc. for additional services and funding for the FM 2499 Section 4 Project.

B) Discussion of the Managed Prescription Drug Program Agreement between Denton County, Texas, and Express Scripts, Inc.

C) Discussion of the Chapter 381 Tax Incentive Agreement between Denton County, Texas, and Granite Properties, Inc., a Delaware corporation.

K) August 12, 2003-Meeting to discuss Tax Rate; if proposed Tax Rate will exceed 3% above the effective tax rate, take record vote and schedule Public Hearing.

L) September 2, 2003-Public Hearing; schedule and announce meeting to adopt tax rate 3-14 days from this date (if applicable).

M) September 9, 2003-Public Hearing on Proposed Budget for 2003-2004 at the Courthouse on the Square at 11:00 am

N) September 9, 2003-Public Meeting to Adopt 2003-2004 Budget and 2003 Tax Rate (The meeting to adopt the tax rate must be 3 to 14 days after tax rate public hearing and by September 1 or as soon after as practicable).
