Be it remembered, Commissioners Court of Denton County, Texas was called to order on the 1st day of July, 2003, at 7:00 PM in The Colony Council Chambers, City Hall, 6800 Main Street, The Colony, Texas by County Judge Mary Horn. Commissioners Sandy Jacobs, Jim Carter, Bobbie J. Mitchell, and Cynthia White were present along with County Clerk Cynthia Mitchell's representative, Deputy Clerk Alvin Hudson.

Court opened with an Invocation and the Pledges of Allegiance to the American and Texas Flags by Mr. Perry Schrag, City Council Member of The Colony.

Mr. Schrag: Heavenly Father, You are most high. We thank You for all that You have provided for us. We live in a nation that's truly blessed. We thank You for our leaders here this evening and their service. We thank You for the service of not only our military that protects our borders, but our law enforcement and our emergency personnel that protects us here at home. We ask Your wisdom as we take care of County bhsiness this evening. But we also ask that You touch all of our hearts, so that we can be the people that You would like us to be. So that Your will can be done. Finally, we ask for Your continued and most gracious blessings. In Your heavenly name, we pray. Amen.

7.C) Approval of Budget Amendment Request #101280 to increase revenues, allocate expenditures and transfer funds within various line items including the creation of new line items for Grant purposes for
FY 2002-2003 for Bioterrorism Grant in the amount of $135,604, and any appropriate action. (Briefing 6-24-03)

7.D) Approval of Budget Amendment Request #101290 for Training and Education for Juvenile Probation in the amount of $5,000.

8.A) Approval of Order Making Appointments. (Appointments have been posted and advertised. Interviews were conducted as set forth in the Denton County policies adopted by the Commissioners Court, except as otherwise stated in the appointment orders. 2. Approval of Potential Change Order #3 to A&E Services for HVAC Evaluation in the amount of $4,975;
3. Approval of Potential Change Order #4 to A&E Services to renovate and restore historic corridors on second third floor in the amount of $14,177;
4. Approval of Potential Change Order #5 to A&E to provide performance specifications and proposal request for repair of the slate on the existing main roof in the amount $2,200 and prepare construction documents and provide bidding and construction administration services for refinishing of wood wainscoting, doors, base, and trim in the amount of $13, 800, totaling $16,100.
