1. AUDITOR

A) Discussion of the Denton County Investment Report for the Quarter Ending 3/31/2003.

2. PURCHASING

A) Discussion of renewal for Auto Physical Damage and Liability Insurance, RFP #04-02-1485, to Texas Association of Counties.

B) Discussion of specifications and authority to advertise for Hauling of RAP, Bid #06-03-1561.

3. BUDGET

A) Discussion of Budget Amendment Request #101250 for Contract Services for Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Program including the transfer of funds in the amount of $40,000 from Juvenile Alternative Education Program-Unappropriated Contingency and Fund Balance @ $75,453 for a total amendment of $115,453.

B) Discussion of Budget Amendment Request #101260 for Court Appointed Attorney Fees including the transfer of funds from Non-Departmental Unappropriated Contingency-Court Ordered Contingency for County Criminal Court #1 in the amount of $45,000.

C) Discussion of Budget Amendment Request #101280 to increase revenues, allocate expenditures and transfer funds within various line items including the creation of new line items for Grant purposes for FY 2002-2003 for Bioterrorism Grant in the amount of $135,604.

4. HUMAN RESOURCES

A) Discussion of the adoption of a policy for Pre-Employment Physicals.

5. HEALTH

A) Discussion of TDH grant proposal for $100,000 in HIV Prevention/Education funding for Denton County Health Department.

6. PUBLIC WORKS

A) Discussion regarding project development, construction progress and change orders to Denton County Building Projects.]

B) Discussion regarding ongoing, planned, and proposed county and state transportation projects: Denton County's Better Safer Roads Program, and the modification of the Denton County Master Thoroughfare Plan, and updates related to the Denton County Transportation Authority.

C) Discussion of request by Planning/G.I.S. for permission to hold Public Education classes for the new Landmark Internet Mapping System.

7. SHERIFF

A) Discussion of a request from Sheriff Lucas to submit an application to the U.S. Department of Justice for funding for the Homeland Security Overtime Program. The funding amount for fiscal year 2003/2004 is $48,837 USDOJ request with cash match $16,279 with a total $65,115.

8. OTHER DEPARTMENTS

A) Discussion of Denton County Boards and Committees.

B) Discussion of 78th Legislative Session-County Judge

C) Discussion regarding the Confederate Monument water fountains-County Judge

D) Discussion regarding the appointment of a voting delegate or proxy vote to the NA Co Annual Conference-County Judge.

9. LEGAL

A) Discussion of the Voter Tabulation System and Services Agreement between Denton County, Texas and Elections Systems and Software, Inc.

B) Discussion of the Criminal District Attorney-VWA Grant Revised Resolutions: Prosecution Enhancement Grant, Family Violence Expansion Grant; and Civil-Domestic Violence Prosecution Grant.

C) Discussion of the Permanent Drainage Easement Agreement between Denton County, Texas and Little Elm Independent School District.

O) September 9, 2003-Public Meeting to Adopt 2003-2004 Budget and 2003 Tax Rate (The meeting to adopt the tax rate must be 3 to 14 days after tax rate public hearing and by September 1 or as soon after as practicable).

P) September 2, 2003-Public Hearing; schedule and announce meeting to adopt tax rate 3-14 days from this date (if applicable).
