In order to expedite the flow of business and to provide all citizens the opportunity to speak, the Commissioners Court may impose a three-minute limitation on persons addressing the Court. Please address all comments to the Presiding Officer.

C) Approve (1) a specific amount of excess funds totaling $1,00,000 in the form of unneeded funds from the FM 720 project in the 2000 Road Bond Fund, is available; (2) that the excess funds are not needed to fund any of the other existing specified projects; and (3) identifying the Legacy Drive and the FM 2934 projects as the projects as the projects to which the excess funds in the amount of $500,000 each are allocated. A) Approval of specifications and authority to advertise for Collection of Delinquent Court Fines, RFP #08-01-1446, appointment of Evaluation Committee to include Beth Fleming, James Wells, Mitch Liles, Cynthia Mitchell, Debra Carreathers, Deborah Hollifield, Bruce Isaacks, David Garcia and L. 7. BUDGET

A) Approval of Budget Amendment Request #100250 to increase revenues and allocate expenditures for County Jail, Communications and Sheriff's Department in the amount of $156,830. (Briefing 11-27-01)

* B) Approval of Budget Amendment Request #100270 for Supplies for Archival Preservation for CHOS Museum Tourism Grant 2001 in the amount of $800.

8. HUMAN RESOURCES

* A) Approval of Order Making Appointments. (Appointments have been posted and advertised. Interviews were conducted as set forth in the Denton County policies adopted by the Commissioners Court, except as otherwise stated in the appointment orders. These appointments are within the budgetary constraints.)

A) Approval and any appropriate action regarding renovations and cost associated with the Cole building.

B) Approve Tuesday, January 2, 2002 at 9:05 a.m. as date and time to conduct a Public Hearing to consider and approve a request for a Special Use Permit in the Lake Ray Roberts Land Use District, Precinct 1.

* C) Approve the Final Plat of the Adam Friday Addition, Precinct 1.

11. COUNTY CLERK

* A) Approve the transcribed minutes and the County Clerk's minutes from Commissioners Court Formal Agenda for November 20, 2001.

* B) Approval of Denton County offices participating in the "12 Days of Wellness" holiday wellness program, beginning Monday, December 10th and ending Friday, December 21st. (Briefing 11-27-01)

A) Approval of appointment of Judge for County Court at Law #2.

B) Approval of the timing of, the amount of, and the specific potential project items to be financed by Tax Notes: Better Safer Road Program Bonds; and the refinancing of debt service. Tax Notes: 1) JJAEP Facility, 2) Courthouse on the Square Restoration Grant, 3) Charlie J. Cole Building-Air distribution system, 4) Charlie J. Cole Building -kitchen repairs, 5) Carroll Building, 6) Loop 288 Government Center, 7) Law Enforcement Facility, 8) Space Study-Phase II, 9) Telephone System, 10) Tax Assessor/Collector-AS-400 Computer-Aide to the Court and 11) Roanoke Government Center-Commissioners Court.

C) Approve the Resolution supporting Parker County in voicing their opposition to the approval of Mirant's permit from the TNRCC to construct a power plant under old emission standards - Commissioner Precinct #1.

14. LEGAL

A) Any appropriate action on Executive Session matters - Legal Department.

* B) Approval of: (a) the Project for Road Improvements to Bailey Street within the City of Ponder, Texas, and (b) the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between the City of Ponder and Denton County, Texas. (Briefing 11-27-01)

C) Approval of Agreement between County and Engineer, URS Corporation, f/k/a BRW, a Nevada Corporation, for the development of a service plan for the Denton County Transportation Authority. (Formal 11-27-01)

15. EXECUTIVE SESSION

The Commissioners Court reserves the exercise of its discretion and may convene in executive session as authorized by the Texas Government Code §§551.071, et seq. on any of the agenda items.
