November 20, 2001

Be it remembered, Commissioners Court of Denton County, Texas was called to order at 9:05 AM on this 20th day of November, 2001 with Judge Scott Armey presiding. Commissioners Sandy Jacobs, Jim Carter, Bobbie J. Mitchell and Cynthia White were present, along with deputy clerk Kathleen Bransford.

Court opened with an Invocation by James Wells, Auditor for Denton County, and following were the Pledges of Allegiance to the American and Texas Flags led by Sgt. William Rogers, Assistant Commander of the Narcotics Task Force.

Mr. Wells: Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You with very thankful hearts at this time especially this week as we get to pause for remembrance. Help each of us to take the time to ponder all the wonderful blessings You've given us, the wonderful country, state and county that we live in, and the other blessings, both material and spiritual that You've given us. Guide each of us during these holidays. Keep us safely, if we travel. Bring each one back to their home. Guide the Court as it goes about the business of the County today. Give them wisdom in their deliberations. Help them to do Your will. In Christ's name, Amen.
