November 6, 2001
Be it remembered, Commissioners Court of Denton County, Texas was called to order at 9:07 AM on the 6th day of November 2001 with Judge Scott Armey presiding. Commissioners Sandy Jacobs, Bobbie J. Mitchell and Cynthia White were present, along with deputy clerk Kathleen Bransford.
Court opened with an Invocation by R. L. McNeil of the First Baptist Church of Sanger and was followed by the Pledges of Allegiance to the American and Texas Flags led by Robbie Baughman, Assistant Manager of Facilities Division for Denton County.
Pastor O'Neil: Father, as we view this beautiful day, we recognize that it's a blessing from You. We also realize, Heavenly Father, that we are truly blessed today for where we live. We thank You for those who lead who. We pray especially for our President, for his cabinet, especially those that are directing our war today. We pray for our soldiers, and we pray for the poor people of Afghanistan that are under such oppression. We pray, Heavenly Father, that today we would recognize that we are genuinely blessed. Help us today, Heavenly Father, as we realize that these who lead us here are very special people in our county. We pray for Your blessings, Your wisdom, and Your discernment upon them that they might serve us well; that they might serve You well. And bless us today as we honor You in all that we do. In Jesus' name, Amen.
