Be it remembered that Commissioners Court of Denton County, Texas, met on this the 27th day of March, 2001, with Judge Scott Armey presiding. Commissioners Jim Carter, Bobbie J. Mitchell, Sandy Jacobs and Cynthia White were present, along with deputy clerk Kathleen Bransford, when the following proceedings were had, to wit:

Court opened with an Invocation by James Wells, Denton County Auditor, and was followed by the Pledges of Allegiance to the American and Texas Flags led by Steve Rollins, Manager of Planning for Denton County.

Mr. Wells: Our dear Heavenly Father, we come giving You thanks for the privilege of living in this great country and this great state and great county. We ask Your blessings and guidance on the Commissioners Court and the county judge and individual commissioners as they come to carry out and make decisions on the duties of the County and make decisions that affect the citizens that live in this county. We thank You that You've ordained government to carry out a specific role in Your world. We ask You forgive our sins and continue to bless us in Christ's name. Amen.
