A) Approval of the application for the National School Lunch Program - County Judge.

11. SHERIFF

A) Approval of:

1) exemption from bidding emergency repairs to existing plumbing supply and sewer lines in the kitchen at the Denton county Jail according to the provisions of Local Government Code, Section 262.024 (a)(1) & (2) due to an item that must be purchased because it is necessary to make the purchase promptly to preserve the property of the county land an item necessary to preserve and protect the public health and safety of the residents of the county;
2) appropriate funds for emergency repairs to existing plumbing supply and sewer lines in the kitchen in the Denton County Jail from line item 01-2900-00-00, Reserve Funds to 01-6641-50-80, Jail Facility Plumbing Supplies; and
3) award CBS Mechanical, Inc. for emergency repairs to existing plumbing supply and sewer lines in the kitchen at the Denton County Jail oversight of CBS Mechanical to be performed by Huber, Hunt & Nichols, Inc. - County Judge.

* B) Approve Interlocal Cooperation Agreement for Patrol Services with the Town of Hackberry - County Judge. (Briefing 5-2-00)

12. STANDING ITEMS

A) Approval of any appropriate action regarding project development, construction progress, and change orders to ongoing Denton County Projects: Sheriff's Office/Jail, Centralized Road & Bridge, Carroll Building, Denton County Courts Building, Denton County Annexes, and future Denton County Satellite Facilities - Commissioners Court.

B) Approval of any appropriate action regarding ongoing, planned, and proposed county and state transportation projects; Denton County's Better Safer Roads Program; and any necessary action regarding the modification of the Denton County Master Thoroughfare Plan - Commissioners Court.

C) Approval of any action regarding Denton County boards and committees - Commissioners Court.

13. NON-DEPARTMENTAL

* A) Approval of Building Usage requested by TWU Cares Health Care Center, Betty N. Adams, for the reserving of 25 parking spaces outside the Denton County Courts Building on May 17, 2000 from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. for the purpose of TWU Cares Health Center open house - County Judge. * B) Approval to amend the contract of the University of North Texas Dispute Resolution System of Denton County and include Option II funding for the purpose of addressing the requirements of the State Settlement Week Program and any appropriate action - Commissioner Precinct Two.
