May 2, 2000

Be it remembered that Commissioners Court of Denton County, Texas, met on this the 2nd day of May, 2000, with Judge Kirk Wilson presiding. Commissioners Sandy Jacobs, Jim Carter, Jeff Krueger and Scott Armey were present, along with deputy clerk Kathleen Bransford, when the following proceedings were had, to wit:

Court opened with an Invocation by Dr. Bing Burton, Director of the Denton County Health Department, followed by the Pledges of Allegiance to the American Flag and the Texas Flag led by Danny Brumley, Director of Denton County's Facilities Management.

Dr. Burton: This is the day the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it. Part of the reason we rejoice this morning is that we know we have Your Spirit to accompany us. We pray this morning for Your special blessing on the members of this court and all those who address it, that Your wisdom might be present, that Your spirit guide all that is said and done. We ask You bless all those who are here and those who may observe these transactions in other ways. We pray, in Jesus' name. Amen.
