Be it remembered that Commissioners Court of Denton County, Texas, met on this the 25th day of April, 2000, with Judge Kirk Wilson presiding. Commissioners Jim Carter, Jeff Krueger, Scott Armey and Sandy Jacobs were present along with deputy clerk Kathleen Bransford when the following proceedings were had, to wit:
Court opened with an Invocation by Bob Schell, Assistant District Attorney, Civil Division, followed by the Pledges of Allegiance to the American Flag and the Texas Flag led by Lari Irby, Staff Assistant to the County Judge's Office.
Mr. Schell: Heavenly Father, we thank You for this day. We thank You for the freedoms you have bestowed upon us and this country. We thank You for our communities. We thank You for Denton County, and the leadership You provide through this Commissioners Court and our elected officials. We pray for them, that You will bless them, guide them, that all the decisions they make will be for the common good.. In the name of Jesus Christ, Your son, our savior, we pray. Amen.

Charles Fletcher, Corinth, Texas, updated the court on his efforts to save the trees along Post Oak Road in Corinth.
