April 4, 2000
Be it remembered that Commissioners Court of Denton County, Texas, met on this the 4th day of April, 2000, with Judge Kirk Wilson presiding. Commissioners Armey and Carter were present, along with deputy clerk Kathleen Bransford, when the following proceedings were had, to wit:
Court opened with an Invocation led by Bob Schell, Assistant District Attorney, Civil Division, and was followed by the Pledges of Allegiance to the American Flag and the Texas Flag led by Carmen Rivera-Worley, Assistant District Attorney, Civil Division.
Mr. Schell: Dear Heavenly Father, we ask You to be with us today. We particularly ask You to be with the Mother of Sandy Jacobs. Bless her and give her the strength to overcome the illness that has stricken her, give strength to her family to support her and bring her to health. We ask You, also, to bless this Commissioners Court, give them wisdom, let all their decisions be done in fairness and justice for all the residents of Denton County. We ask You to bless and guide all of our elected officials in Denton County, give them the strength and courage to do what is best for all the residents so we may do Your will. We ask this in Your name and in the name of Jesus Christ, Your son. Amen.
ITEM 3 PUBLIC HEARING
3.A) Approve an appeal of the Lake Ray Roberts Land Use Ordinance as requested by Mr. Charles Whittenburg and allow two special use permits be issued for each of two used manufactured homes in the J.

Joey R. Copeland of Sanger, Texas, spoke in opposition on allowing the two special use permits.
John Nygren, of Valley View, Texas, spoke in opposition .
Lynda Nygren, Valley View, Texas, did not speak, but Judge Wilson read her statement of opposition into the record.
