8. HUMAN RESOURCES

* A) Approval of orders appointing New Employees. (The appointments for February 15, 2000, have been posted and advertised; and interviews were conducted as set forth in the Denton County policies adopted by the Commissioners Court, except as otherwise stated in the appointment orders. These appointments are within the budgetary restraints.)

* B) Approve combining two (2) part-time, grade 16, Detention Officer position positions (slot 001-JD) into one (1) full-time, grade 18, Juvenile Detention Officer position-Juvenile Detention - County Judge.

9. COUNTY CLERK

* A) Approval of the $65,950.00 Government Records Services is holding in escrow for the Denton County clerk be applied to the monthly imaging/indexing bill for the month of March 2000 - County Judge. (Briefing 2-8-00)

10. HEALTH

A) Approval of contract with HHSC for Children's Health Insurance Program Outreach Services - County Judge.

11. STANDING ITEMS

A) Approval of any appropriate action regarding project development, construction progress, and change orders to ongoing Denton County Projects: Sheriff's Office/Jail, Centralized Road & Bridge, Carroll Building, Denton County Courts Building, Denton County Annexes, and future Denton County Satellite Facilities - Commissioners Court.

B) Approval of any appropriate action regarding ongoing, planned, and proposed county and state transportation projects; Denton County's Better Safer Roads Program; and any necessary action regarding the modification of the Denton County Master Thoroughfare Plan - Commissioners Court.

C) Approval of any action regarding Denton County boards and committees - Commissioners Court.

12. NON-DEPARTMENTAL

* A) Approve the order authorizing the payment of $7,056.60 from additional expenses authorized by Denton County's contract with Innovative Transportation solutions to the City of Fort Worth for an approved model for projecting demographic growth and infrastructure needs - County Judge. * B) Approval of request to use the 1896 Room, Conference Room, and the Commissioners Courtroom for a wedding on Saturday, March 4, 2000, form 3 p.m. until 9 p.m., as requested by Mr. Thomas J. Emerich - County Judge. (Briefing 2-8-00)

* C) Approval of a luncheon gathering among the Denton County Commissioners Court and the Denton County Constables, Tuesday, February 22, 2000, commencing at noon, at the Texican Grill, 111 W. Mulberry - Commissioner, Precinct Four. (Briefing 2-8-00)

* D) Authorize the renaming of F.M. 544 in Denton County to F.M. 3544 - County Judge. (Briefing 2-8-00)

13. LEGAL

A) Any appropriate action on Executive Session matters - Legal Department.

B) Approval of designation of Civil Attorney III in the office of the Criminal District Attorney, Civil Division as the person to receive Public Information Act requests for Denton County except as indicated by Denton County Elected Officials and amendment of the Denton County Open Records Access Request Policy to reflect designation - County Judge.

* C) Approval of service agreement between Denton County and Greater Lewisville Youth and Family Services - County Judge. (Briefing 2-8-00)

* D) Approval of: (a) the Project for Road Construction of Lakeview Blvd., and (b) the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between the City of Denton and Denton County, Texas for road construction of Lakeview Blvd. - County Judge. (Briefing 2-8-00)

E) Contemplated litigation pursuant to Section 551.071 (1)(A), Government code, discuss Attorney General's Open Record Records Decision on Denton Record-Chronicle's public information requests and possibility of initiating filing a Declaratory Judgement action in Travis County seeking relief from compliance with the decision - County Judge

F) Closed meeting pursuant to Texas Government Code, Section 551.074 (a)(1), regarding Personnel Matters to deliberate the appointment, employment, reassignment, and duties of a public employee: Thomas Keever, Office of the Criminal District Attorney, Civil Division - County Judge.
