Be it remembered that Commissioners Court of Denton County, Texas, met on this the 11th day January, 2000, with Judge Kirk Wilson presiding. Commissioners Scott Armey, Jim Carter, Sandy Jacobs and Jeff Krueger were present along with deputy clerk Kathleen Bransford when the following proceedings were had, to wit:
Court opened with an Invocation by James Wells, Denton County Auditor, followed by the Pledges of Allegiance to the American Flag and the Texas Flag led by Cynthia Mitchell, Denton County Clerk.
Mr. Wells: Our dear heavenly Father, we thank You for this time of a new century and we ask that You continue to bless this county and its citizens and help us prosper in the coming year. Teach us always to try to follow Your will. Be with each member of Commissioners Court today: Commissioner Krueger, Commissioner Jacobs, Judge Wilson, Commissioner Armey, Commissioner Carter. Give them Your guidance and wisdom as they make decisions on items placed before them today. Finally, be with all of us, as we go about our coming week, forgive us our sins, in Christ's name. Amen.
