Be it remembered that Commissioners Court of Denton County, Texas, met on this the 21st day of December, 1999, with Judge Kirk Wilson presiding. Commissioners Sandy Jacobs, Jim Carter and Scott Armey were present along with Deputy Clerk Kathleen Bransford when the following proceedings were had, to wit:
The Invocation was led by John Polster, President of Innovative Transportation Solutions, Inc., followed by the Pledges of Allegiance to the American Flag and the Texas Flag led by Shala Blackmon, the new Deputy Director of Administration for the County Judge's Office.
John Polster: Let us pray. Father God, we do come to You this morning. We appreciate this time of gathering. We pray, Lord, that as we meet and discern the issues of the day, we remember that this is the season when You let your Son come to earth and die for our sins. Help us to appreciate and understand that, that we may live our lives according to it, in Christ's name, Amen.
