November 9, 1999
Be it remembered that Commissioners Court of Denton County, Texas, met on this the 9th day of November, 1999, with Judge Kirk Wilson presiding. Commissioners Scott Armey and Jim Carter were present along with Deputy Clerk Kathleen Bransford when the following proceedings were had, to wit:
Court opened with an invocation by John Polster of Innovative Transportation Solutions, Inc., followed by the Pledges of Allegiance to the American Flag and the Texas Flag led by Linda Feld.
Mr. Polster: Let us pray. Father God, we do come to You this morning. We lift up our hearts. We give You thanks for this day. We pray, dear Lord, that Your wisdom would be on the Court and those that are here. We pray, Lord, that they would act in a manner that would bring honor and glory to You. In Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
ITEM 2 PUBLIC INPUT
Commissioners contributed to the following discussion under Item 15.C.
Mark Glover, Chairman of the Denton County Economic Development Commission, presented plaques to the Denton County Business Leaders Council.
Mildred Hawk asked that a list of discrepancies occurring in the Denton County Historical Commissioner and the Courthouse on the Square Museum be entered into the record.
Al Chappell, of Trophy Club, expressed his gratitude to the court for their success in defending the Denton County line in the Denton/Tarrant line border dispute.
Jim Schorey, Trophy Club, also thanked the court for defending the line successfully.
Bill Lewis, Trophy Club, thanked the court, particularly Commissioners Scott Armey and Jim Carter.
Samuel Haynes, of Justin, resigned his position as Chairman of the Finance Budge Committee of the Denton County Historical Commission.
