November 2, 1999
Be it remembered that Commissioners Court of Denton County, Texas, met on this the 2nd of November, 1999, with Judge Kirk Wilson presiding. Commissioners Jeff Krueger, Scott Armey and Jim Carter were present along with Deputy Clerk Kathleen Bransford when the following proceedings were had, to wit:
Court opened with an invocation by Hank Scheible, Chaplain of the American Legion Post No. 71 and the County Veterans Service Officer, followed by the Pledges of Allegiance to the American Flag and the Texas Flag led by Amy Phillips, County Human Resources Director.
Mr. Scheible: Let us pray. Most Gracious Heavenly Father, we come before You this morning asking You to make Your presence known here. You've said that where two or more are gathered, there You'll be also. Father, we ask that You would give us discerning hearts, wisdom in decisions, that You would give us purpose in our lives. We thank You for the freedom that we can meet together to determine the process of this County and ask that You would give every word that's spoken here today, purpose for Your kingdom. Father, we thank You for Your blessings and acknowledge Your Lordship, as well as Your salvation. Father, we praise You and lift You up and now ask that You would watch over these proceedings and guide every word that's said and done. In Christ's name we pray. Amen.
