In order to expedite the flow of business and to provide all citizens the opportunity to speak, the Commissioners Court has imposed a three-minute limitation on persons addressing the Court.

A) Approval of Bill Report.
(Payments from Adult Probation, Community Corrections, Pre-Trial Services and District Attorney Check Fee Fund are presented for recording purposes only.)

* B) Approval of the order finding (1) excess funds in the amount of $183,800 are available in the "1999 Road Bond Fund, Precinct Three Special Projects" account; (2) the excess funds are not needed to fund any of the projects originally listed in the bond documentation; and (3) excess funds in the amount of $183,800 are allocated to the "Centralized Road and Bridge Facility" project - County Judge.

* C) Approval of order finding (1) excess funds in the amount of $20,000 are available in the "1992 Road Bond Fund, Precinct One - Bridge Projects" account; (2) the excess funds are not needed to fund any of the projects originally listed in the bond documentation; and (3) excess funds in the amount of $20,000 are allocated to the "Precinct One - Josey Lane Extension" project - County Judge.

* B) Approval of award of a State of Texas Qualified Information System Vendors (QISV) contract for Computer Hardware, Bid #08-99-1246, to Midas Open, according to the provisions of Section 2157 of the Texas Government Code, and any appropriate action - County Judge.

* C) Approval of award of bid for Thermal Imagers, Bid #08-99-1244, to GT Distributors for $11,105 for fixed mounted Thermal Imagers and Aspect Technology for $11,965 for hand held Thermal Imagers, and any appropriate action - County Judge.

* A) Approval of Budget Amendment Request #103260 to transfer interest earnings from Bond Project Funds to Debt Service Fund in the amount of $925,000 - County Judge.

* C) Approval of Budget Amendment Request #103310 for Claims and Judgements for Non-Departmental in the amount of $117,838 - County Judge.

8. HUMAN RESOURCES

* A) Approval of orders appointing New Employees. (The appointments for September 28, 1999, have been posted and advertised; and interviews were conducted as set forth in the Denton County Policies adopted by the Commissioners Court, except as otherwise stated in the appointment orders. These appointments are within the Budgetary Restraints.)

* B) Approve the clothing allowance for the Forensic Technician (slot 014-JA), Lieutenant/Forensics (slot 071-SO), and Deputy/Evidence Technician (slot 026-SO) - Sheriff's Office - County Judge.

* C) Approve a new resolution for Denton County's safety program - County Judge.

* D) Approve reclassification of slot 007-S2 from License and Weights (grade 21) to Sergeant-License and Weights (grade 22) - Constable Precinct #2 - County Judge.

9. HEALTH

* A) Approval of attachment to Denton County's contract with Vertex in order to increase Medicaid clinical reimbursements - County Judge.

* B) Approval of resolution designating October as Breast Health Awareness Month in Denton County - County Judge.

10. SHERIFF

* A) Approve request to accept a $10,000 grant from the Comptroller of Public Accounts to enforce tobacco- compliance laws during the period of September 1, 1999, through August 31, 2000 - County Judge.

* B) Approve Reimbursement Agreement for Continuing Education between Sheriff's Office and Bruce Elsey and Meri Baskin - County Judge.

11. CENTRALIZED ROAD& BRIDGE/VEHICLE MAINTENANCE

* A) FOR RECORDING PURPOSES ONLY: Approval of Road Superintendent Report for the month of August 1999 - County Judge.

* B) Approval of TxDOT's Off-State System Bridge Replacement Project on Tom Cole Road and North County Line Road - County Judge.

* C) Approval of Project and Interlocal Cooperation Agreement with the City of Cross Roads for a total reconstruction of Moseley Road, a distance of 0.4 mile - County Judge.

12. COUNTY FACILITIES/OPERATIONS

* A) Approval of Change Order Number One for payment to Baker Drywall in the amount of $7,500.00 and Change Order Number Three for payment to Shaw Contract Flooring in the amount of $4,247.00 - County Judge.

* B) Approval of Change Order Number 6, 11, 24, and 35 for a total amount of $9,126.00 for renovations and improvements to the Joseph A. Carroll Building - County Judge.

13. NON-DEPARTMENTAL

* A) Approve the use of the steps and lawn of the Courthouse on the Square for a candlelight vigil on Thursday, September 30, 1999, from 7:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m., sponsored by the Ryan High School Student Council and the Peer Assistant Leadership (P.A.L.S.) program to memorialize the victims of alcohol and illegal-drug abuse - County Judge.

* B) Approve the resolution congratulating PressCut Industries upon being awarded ISO 9002 certification - County Judge.

* C) Approve changes from last year, if any, on the Notice of Fees to be charged by the Sheriff and Constables of Denton County - County Judge. (Briefing 9-07-99)

* D) Approve a seven-day extension to the Denton County Burn Ban - Commissioners Court.
