Citizens should complete a Witness Form located on the side table. Pursuant to State Open Meetings Law the Commissioners Court is restricted in discussing or taking action on items not posted on Agenda. Action on your statement can only be taken at a future meeting.

In order to expedite the flow of business and to provide all citizens the opportunity to speak, the Commissioners Court has imposed a three minute limitation on persons addressing the Court.

3. PUBLIC HEARING

10:00 a.m. A) A Public Hearing to consider and approve the creation of Denton County Development District No. 4 under the provisions of Chapter 383 of the Texas Local Government Code - County Judge.

6. BUDGET

* A) Approval of Budget Amendment Request #100430 for Operating Equipment & Operating Supplies for Litter Abatement in the amount of $2,677 - County Judge. (Briefing 1-5-99)

* B) Approval of Budget Amendment Request #100440 for Operating Equipment & Operating Supplies for Emergency Management in the amount of $4,277 - County Judge. (Briefing 1-5-99)

* C) Approval of Budget Amendment Request #100470 for Operating Equipment for Litter Abatement in the amount of $68 - County Judge. (Briefing 1-5-99)

7. HUMAN RESOURCES

* A) Approval of orders appointing New Employees. (The appointments for January 12, 1999 have been posted, advertised, and interviews were conducted as set forth in the Denton County Policies adopted by the Commissioners Court except as otherwise stated in the appointment orders. These appointments are within the Budgetary Restraints.)

8. COUNTY CLERK

* A) Approve the minutes for August 12, 1997 - County Judge. (Briefing 1-5-99)

* B) Approve the minutes for June 23, 1998 - County Judge. (Briefing 1-5-99)

9. COUNTY PLANNING

A) Approve February 16, 1999 at 9:30 a.m. as date and time to consider and approve the replat of Lot 17, Block 2, East Ponder Estates, Precinct Four and the same date at 9:35 a.m. as the date and time to consider and approve the replat of Tract 1, Block B, Sandy Acres, Precinct One - County Judge.

10. STANDING ITEMS

A) Approval of any appropriate action regarding project development, construction progress and change orders to ongoing Denton County Projects: Sheriff's Office/Jail, Centralized Road & Bridge, Carroll Building, Denton County Annex's and future Denton County Satellite Facilities - Commissioners Court.

B) Approval of any appropriate action regarding ongoing, planned and proposed County and State Transportation projects, Denton County's Better, Safer Roads Program and any necessary action regarding the modification of the Denton County Master Thoroughfare Plan - Commissioners Court.

C) Discussion of ongoing Economic Development Projects and any appropriate action - County Judge.

D) Approval of any action regarding Board and Committees - Commissioners Court.

E) Approval of any action regarding the 76th Legislative Issues - Commissioners Court.

F) Approval of any action regarding Denton County's step plan - Commissioners Court.

G) Approval of polling sites and election judges and any appropriate action relating to the January 16, 1999 Election - County Judge.

H) Approval of any appropriate action regarding repairs and restoration of water damage to the Denton County Courts Building - County Judge.

11. NON-DEPARTMENTAL

A) Approve names to be drawn from the 1998's Grand Jury to form the nine membership of the Denton County Salary Grievance Committee - County Judge.

* B) Approve the use of the CHOS Lawn and 1896 Room (Commissioners Court in case of rain), on Thursday, May 6, 1999 from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. for a recognition of the National Day of Prayer - County Judge. (Briefing 1-5-99)

12. LEGAL

A) Any appropriate action on Executive Session matters - Legal Department.

B) Approval of sale to Prehlad S. Vachher an adjoining property owner of an abandoned strip of land along the North boundary line of 216.404 acres of land situated in the B.B.B. & C.R.R. Company Survey, Abstract No. 169, Denton County, Texas - County Judge.
