Citizens should complete a Witness Form located on the side table. Pursuant to State Open Meetings Law the Commissioners Court is restricted in discussing or taking action on items not posted on Agenda. Action on your statement can only be taken at a future meeting.

In order to expedite the flow of business and to provide all citizens the opportunity to speak, the Commissioners Court has imposed a three minute limitation on persons addressing the Court.

A) Approval of purchase of replacement for wrecked vehicle FC96103, 1996 Crown Victoria and any appropriate action - County Judge.

7. BUDGET

A) Approval of Budget Amendment Request #100420 for Computers for Department of Information Services in the amount of $1,751 - County Judge.

B) Approval of Budget Amendment Request #100450 for various line items and the creation of new line items for county purposes for FY 1998-99 for Historical Commission Preservation Grant - Historical Commission in the amount of $35,000 - County Judge.

C) Approval of Budget Amendment Request #100460 for various line items and the creation of new line items for county purposes for FY 1998-99 for CHOS Museum Tourism & Preservation Grant - Historical Commission in the amount of $69,064 - County Judge.

8. HUMAN RESOURCES

* A) Approval of orders appointing New Employees. (The appointments for January 5, 1999 have been posted, advertised, and interviews were conducted as set forth in the Denton County Policies adopted by the Commissioners Court except as otherwise stated in the appointment orders. These appointments are within the Budgetary Restraints.)

B) Approve job descriptions and ranking for the new position of Education and Tourism Director in the Denton County Courthouse on the Square Museum - County Judge.

C) Approve changes to the job description of the Administrative Secretary and Curator of Collections in the Denton County Courthouse on the Square Museum - County Judge.

D) Approve changes to the job description for Deputy/Imapct Program Officer in the Sheriff's Department - County Judge.

9. COUNTY CLERK

* A) Approval of minutes for May 5, 1998 - Formal Session - County Judge. (Briefing 12-22-98)

10. HEALTH

A) Approve Contract Amendment with Tarrant County for HIV Early Intervention Clinic - County Judge.

11. COUNTY PLANNING

A) Approve February 2, 1999 at 9:00 a.m. as date and time to conduct a Public Hearing to consider and approve the rezoning of Tract 34, abstract 29 as recommended by the Lake Ray Roberts Planning and Zoning Commission - County Judge.

B) Approve February 2, 1999 at 9:10 a.m. as date and time to conduct a Public Hearing to consider and approve the rezoning of Tract 42, Abstract 29 as recommended by the Lake Ray Roberts Planning and Zoning Commission - County Judge.

12. STANDING ITEMS

A) Approval of any appropriate action regarding project development, construction progress and change orders to ongoing Denton County Projects: Sheriff's Office/Jail, Centralized Road & Bridge, Carroll Building, Denton County Annex's and future Denton County Satellite Facilities - Commissioners Court.

B) Approval of any appropriate action regarding ongoing, planned and proposed County and State Transportation projects, Denton County's Better, Safer Roads Program and any necessary action regarding the modification of the Denton County Master Thoroughfare Plan - Commissioners Court.

C) Discussion of ongoing Economic Development Projects and any appropriate action - County Judge.

D) Approval of any action regarding Board and Committees - Commissioners Court.

E) Approval of any action regarding the 76th Legislative Issues - Commissioners Court.

F) Approval of polling sites and election judges and any appropriate action relating to the January 16, 1999 Election - Commissioners Court.

G) Approval of any action regarding Denton County's step plan - Commissioners Court.

13. NON-DEPARTMENTAL

* A) Approval on use of Commissioners Courtroom, conference Room and 1896 Room on Sunday, January 17, 1999 from 12:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. for the First Division American Legion Oratorical Contest - County Judge. (Briefing 12-22-98)

B) Approval of Mutual Aid Law Enforcement Agreement between Denton County and the City of Lewisville - County Judge.
