Citizens should complete a Witness Form located on the side table. Pursuant to State Open Meetings Law the Commissioners Court is restricted in discussing or taking action on items not posted on Agenda. Action on your statement can only be taken at a future meeting.

In order to expedite the flow of business and to provide all citizens the opportunity to speak, the Commissioners Court has imposed a three minute limitation on persons addressing the Court.

3. PUBLIC HEARINGS

10:00 am A)Approve the change in zoning classification from Agriculture (AG) to Recreation Service/Commercial (R/C), for two acres out of Tract 42, Abstract 792, Precinct 4, as requested by the L.J.H. Corporation and recommended by the Lake Ray Roberts Planning and Zoning Commission - Commissioners Court..

5. COUNTY AUDITOR

A) Approval of Bill Report.

(Payments from Adult Probation, Community Corrections, Pre-Trial Services and District Attorney Check Fee Fund are presented for recording purposes only.)

B)Approval of establishing a petty cash fund at the Denton County Sheriff’s department in the amount of $3000; authorize uses of the fund are to be: 1) conducting investigations outside the County; 2) prisoner transport expenses; 3) transport of individuals to state hospital; and 4) cashing inmate trust fund checks for INS prisoners - County Judge.

* C)Approval of the County’s 1997 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, Independent Auditor’s Report, auditor’s Management Letter Comments and Grant Single Audit Reports - County Judge. (Briefing 4-7-98)

* D)Approval of an order finding that 1) excess funds in the amount of $500,000 from project #24 are available in the 1994 Road Bond Project; 2) the excess funds are needed to fund any of the projects originally listed in the bond documentations; and 3) that excess funds in the amount of $500,000 are to be allocated to the FM 407-Sellmeyer to Briarhill Blvd. Project - County Judge. * C)Approval of exemption from bidding for Professional Roofing and Waterproofing Consultant for the Carroll Courts Building and approval of contract with Collins & Associates, Inc. according to the provisions of §262.024 (a)(4) of the Local Government Code - County Judge. (Briefing 4-7-98)

* A) Approval of Budget Amendment Request #100810 for computers for Criminal District Attorney-Serious & Habitual Juvenile Prosecution Grant in the amount of $500 - County Judge. (Briefing 4-7-98)

* B)Approval of Budget Amendment Request #100820 to transfer funds from Fund Balance and Increase Revenues and allocate training for Constables Precinct 1-6, District Attorney and Fire Marshal in the amount of $12,780 - County Judge. (Briefing 4-7-98)

* A) Approval of orders appointing New Employees. (The appointments for April 14, 1998 have been posted, advertised, and interviews were conducted as set forth in the Denton County Policies adopted by the Commissioners Court except as otherwise stated in the appointment orders. B) Approval of any appropriate action regarding ongoing, planned and proposed County and State Transportation projects and any necessary action regarding the modification of the Denton County Master Thoroughfare Plan - Commissioners Court.
