MEETING
THURSDAY – MARCH 23, 2006
8:30 A.M.
THE DENTON COUNTY BAIL BOND BOARD SHALL MEET IN REGULAR SESSION AT THE
COURTHOUSE ON THE SQUARE, 110 WEST HICKORY, DENTON, TEXAS, IN THE
COURTROOM, TO CONSIDER AND POSSIBLY TAKE ACTION ON THE FOLLOWING
MATTERS:
I. CALL TO ORDER & ATTENDANCE VERIFICATION
II. PUBLIC INPUT FOR ITEMS NOT LISTED ON THE AGENDA
Citizens should complete a witness form located on the side table.
Pursuant to state open meetings law the Denton County Bail Bond Board is
restricted in discussion or taking action on items not posted on the
agenda. Action on your statement can only be taken at a future meeting.
In order to expedite the flow of business and to provide all citizens
the opportunity to speak, the chairman may impose a five-minute limit on
any person addressing the Denton County Bail Bond Board.
III. REPORTS AND MINUTES
A. Outstanding bond report and rearrest fee report by Sheriff’s
Office. (consent)
B. NISI report by County & District Clerks. (consent)
C. Report including bonding companies, total bonding power, license
number and expiration date. (consent)
D. Monthly report from bond forfeiture attorney regarding bond
forfeiture collections.
E. Discussion and approval of minutes from the meeting of February
23, 2006.
IV. POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
A. Discussion and any possible action regarding the required number
of copies of the Financial Statement on a Bail Bond Company renewal
application thru an Insurance Company.
V. APPLICATIONS AND HEARINGS
A. Discussion and any possible action regarding the annual election
of the Chair for the Denton County Bail Bond Board.
B. Discussion and any possible action regarding the renewal
application Financial Casualty & Surety, Inc., Agent, Cason Clayton
Cagle, d/b/a Case Cagle’s 20-Minute Bail Bonds.
VI. EXECUTIVE SESSION
For purposes permitted by Texas Government Code section 551.07 -
contemplated or pending litigation or settlement offer; section 551.072
- Real Property; section 551.074 - Personnel matters; or section 551.76
- security.
A. Discussion and any possible action regarding the disposition of
two (2) parcels of real property through the sealed bid procedure
administered by the Denton County Commissioner’s Court. The real
property is described as:
Being all that certain lot, tract or parcel of land lying and being
situated in the [C]ity and County of Denton, State of Texas and being
Lot 6 of Franks Addition, [a]n Addition to the City of Denton, Texas,
according to the Plat thereof recorded in Vol[ume] 75, [P]age 89, of the
Deed Records of Denton County, Texas, and being the same property
described in a Special Warranty Deed, dated October 1, 1991, from David
Glick and Ilena Glick. Grantors, to Nancy Webb, Grantee, and recorded on
November 8, 1991, under Clerks File # 56498, in Volume 3096, Page 0514,
of the Real Property Records of Denton County, Texas.
Being all that certain lot, tract, or parcel of land located in
Denton County, Texas, as follows “Lot 6. Block 8, Alex W. Robertson
Addition, and Addition to the City of Denton, Denton County, Texas,’ and
being the same property described in a Warranty Deed, dated June 26,
1990, from Joe Kinney, III, Grantor, to Nancy Webb, Grantee, and
recorded on July 2, 1990, under Clerks File # 29970, in Volume 2806,
Page 0498, of the Real Property Records of Denton County, Texas.
